Mr. Moran was born in Ft. Wolters, Texas. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Southern College in 1982 and practiced as a CPA before entering Law School.

Mr. Moran attended Stetson University College of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1987. He then attended the University of Florida College of Law, where he obtained his L.L.M. in taxation in 1988.

Mr. Moran is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the Florida and United States Tax Courts. He is a member of the Tax Section and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar.

He is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association and the American Bar Association, as well as the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants. He is Past President of the Southwest Florida Estate Planning Council.  He is a current member of the Professional Fiduciary Council of Florida.

Mr. Moran is honored to serve as the local Co-Chair of Dick Vitale Gala Committee for the V Foundation, as well as other Not-for-Profit Advisory Boards and Committees.

Mr. Moran resides in Sarasota, Florida with his wife Barbara Moran. Together the couple have 4 boys, Jordyn, Jonathan, Parker and Patrick.
